Jose Santiago, Our Founder
Growing up as a small boy in Portugal, Jose Santiago came to naturally respect and appreciate the old world values and craftsmanship that were apparent in the many historic structures that surrounded him. It was no great surprise when he decided to become a painter himself, first in Portugal and later in Holland.
Emigrating to British Columbia in 1978, Jose started his own painting business, dedicated to the quality and values of his youth. After relocating his family to Oshawa in 1985, Santiag’s Old Country Painting was founded, serving both residential and commercial clients throughout the Durham Region.
